Hi. This is Krissy, Val's sister. I thought I would write you a quick entry while Val is asleep! I just found a photo looking through old files on my computer. It's a photo of Val, when she was still in the hospital, right after her braaaaaiin surgery. It was July of 2004. I wanted to show you all that, yes, indeed, she really was bald, LOL.

Actually, to make certain that I would not cross her boundaries and disrespect her, and also so that she wouldn't kill me, LOL, I decided to phone her before I posted this photo. So I just called her a few seconds ago on the phone to ask her if I could put one of her "brain surgery, bald photos" in her blog. She said yes!
So without further ado, here is a photo of the very beautiful Valerie in July 2004, in her hospital bed. Next to her is her very beautiful daughter, Chelsea. Val's smile radiates everywhere. Now, bald or no, doesn't she just light up the room?

Hi Val I think you would be beautiful with or without hair because the kindness in your heart shines through you . I can already tell you I would NOT be beautiful bald....but for a different reason....:) mainly being the fact that I didn't have any hair LOL LOVE YA Barb

Krissy, in response to this picture, I hated that right after I woke up from brains surgery you and Chelsea wanted to take pictures. LOL I was horrified. But I would do ANYTHING for my Krissy and my Chelsea so I complied. LOL And now I am showing it to all of JLand, because I will do anything for my JLand. LOL xox

Re Krissy's entry: Val does just radiate love, concern and compassion. She also is a fighter! She's an angel on earth to me and I know to many other people, too. She is an inspiration to me. She makes me realize that whatever I have, or have had, It's not much compared to her. Yet, she's always there to listen and just accepts & loves me. How lucky we are to have Valerie touch our lives, EVERYONE! She is my mentor (even though I am the "old" one), she is super smart, she blesses every life she touches, doesn't she now?? Love, Merry
