"Wordplay" Wednesday!...

"God gave us our memories so that we may have roses in December."
     -J.M. Barrie

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I wanted to welcome home Krissy and John once again!  I am so happy they are home!  They are enjoying their new freedoms that come with being in their own environment.  I am so, so happy you two are home!  Krissy and John, if you guys haven't realized yet, are my other half, they really are.  They complete me.  If anyone is lucky enough to have a sister like Krissy, well, they have the best sister in the world!  And John, well, there is no better brother-in-law!  I love you guys!

Time for "Wordplay" today!  I decided to list some words and see if they invoke any memories or stories or emotions from you.  Pick a word from the list and write a sentence or paragraph or story that comes up for you after you view the word.  It could be anything!  Leave it in the comments section.  If you want to do an entry in your journal or blog please come back and leave the URL to your entry so I can go read it!  Thanks!  Here are the words:

    birth
          laughter
          anger
          pride
          special
          sorrow
          tenacity
          childhood games

I will do mine in my next entry as I have an appointment in ten minutes and wanted to post this before I left.  Hope you all have fun with this!!  Thanks for playing!  Have a wonderful day! xox

  1. Birth - Okay, well this is going to be hard to talk about.  I looked over the words and the one that evoked the strongest response in me was "birth".  And I have never given birth.  This is why it evoked such a strong response.  Since I was young I have wanted children.  I have not been able to have them.  And I most likely never will.  John has had seven rounds of chemo and a transplant.  Oh well, the Lord has a reason for everything, and sometimes we won't know what it is till we get to the other side...

  4. Hi Val,  I could nearly all those words bar one in the subject I have in mind.  Special:  My grandson Roman is special, everything he does is special, the way he looks, the way he smiles, his laughter and the way he makes me feel everyday since he was born.  In just 8 months I`ve been made to feel, very special. :o)

  6. I think laughter is my word.  I have a rather loud laugh which get me into trouble at times but I cant help it.  The louder I laught the funnier it gets and then we all are laughing.

LOve and hugs to you Val

  7. The word......Birth reminded me of the fact that I was in the room when my first granddaughter was born. I wasn't supposed to be but I made friends with the nurses when my daughter was in labor. So, they dressed me up for the part (just like them....LOL). I snapped her first picture of the doctor holding my granddaughter up and smacking her little behind and saying......It's a girl!!!!!!  The only problem was I wondered why I couldn't breath with the mask on and everyone else could. I thought it was the excitement......But that wasn't it......I had the mask on upside down. LOL!

    PS......Hello Krissy and John!

  8.          birth
             laughter
             anger
             pride
             special
             sorrow
             tenacity
             childhood games
The little girl you taught all those childhood games to(hopscotch, tag, peekaboo, hide & seek, etc) is going to be giving birth to your first grandchild.  I could hear the laughter and pride in your voice through your email when you told me it will be a grandson. He is going to be such a special child.  I hope you aren't filled with too much sorrow and anger when you think about the distance between you and  your children.  I know they must miss you tremendously.  I haven't know you very long but I know that you possess the tenacity to get through whatever  you have to, to share in your daughter's pregnancy however you can.  I'm so proud you're my friend.  I wish you much love and luck.
    Hugs, Barb

  9. Birth    I am happy that your daughter is having a welcome expectancy of a child.   She has a boyfriend that is going to be a responsible father and the support of her family.    A child needs all the help possible to grow up in a loving and caring environment.    Wishing the parents all the best.     mark

  12. As you can imagine, the first word that evokes emotion for me is 'birth'.  We both are dealing with excitement of our first grandchild - both far from us.  Precious life coming to join us so very soon.

    Welcome home Krissy and John!

  14. childhood games...the neighbor girl and I were almost childhood sweethearts if you will.  We'd be playing on the swings and lay across them on our stomachs.  We'd twist and twist and twist, and then let ourselves unwind.  We'd say we were lawnmowers.  Go figure...

I must say that birth made me do some thinking...I loved being pregnant and i loved giving birth....It is a,azing how fast the pain goes away when you child is in the world and you see him/her for the first time...I was so happy that I forgot all about the labor and delivery pain...I cant wait to do it again!
