Hunt news, new installment/game - LOLpets!!!.....

Happy Sunday everyone!  I have two announcements to make.  The first one is that Krissy and I have decided to continue The Photo Scavenger Hunt!  Quite a number of you wanted it to continue so we are granting your wish.  I am excited about this!!  I really didn't want to see it put on a shelf.   It would have made me sad personally.  I got some very good ideas from some of you, too, and this has me excited!!  I will be using some of these ideas, so thank you, so, so much!!  I will be giving you a new subject in the next day or so.

The other thing I wanted to let you all know is that I will be starting what I am going to be calling LOLpets on Mondays.    In early June, Joe at Magic Smoke
introduced us to the LOLcat Buildr.  Krissy did an entry with her kitty, Michael, and it has been seen in a few journals since this introduction.  I thought it would be fun to showcase our pets in a special, creative way!  So on Monday (tomorrow) I am going to be doing an LOLpet (probably an LOLcat as I have cats) and I am hoping that some of you will join me in your journals and do your own!!  I would like you to then come back and leave your entry link so others can come see your entry, your pet!!  I will feature your links the following Monday when I do my next LOLpet.  Please let other journalers know if you think they would like to participate!!  I do hope you all will like this new idea.  I am so excited that I will be seeing your pets!!  If you have any questions on how this will work just drop me an email at

Take care!!  I will be back tomorrow and you will see my first LOLcat and hear a bit about my kitty, Honey.  Hugs and pet your furry ones for me today!! xox

About Photo Hunt... What do you want to do?...

Happy Saturday everyone!  Sorry I am a day late reporting back about the Scavenger Hunt.  I babysat Josiah yesterday for eight hours.  He is a ball of fun, but he zaps every bit of energy out of me, so I couldn't get on the computer after he left.

About the Photo Scavenger Hunt,  I was speaking with Krissy three days ago.  We have noticed that participation for the Hunt has been way down.  Only two journals have participated in the last two Hunts and the subjects were very, very easy.  We were wondering what you guys wanted to do.  The decision is YOURS!  We will be happy to keep the Hunt going IF a few of you want it to keep going.  Am I choosing subjects that you don't like?  Is it summer activities that are keeping you from the Hunt?  Let us know!  Talk to us in the comments section!!  We will resume the Hunt October 1 if there is not enough interest.  If there is, we would love to keep it going!!

Thanks from me and Krissy, guys!! xox

Rockin' women bloggers...

"When will our consciences grow so tender that we will act to
prevent human misery rather than avenge it
                                                              - Eleanor Roosevelt

I got the above quote from Quotations by Notable Women.  It is an easy place to get lost in.  I love to collect quotes.  I have so many saved in odd places in emails to myself, on notepaper, bookmarked, etc.  I don't know what I am going to do with them??  LOL

Speaking of women, Chrissie, at ALMOST Paradise II
handed me a Rockin' Girl Blogger Award and I am instructed to award five other rockin' ladies!!  Thanks for handing me this honor, Chrissie!  Now, I will pass it on.  Only five??  Drat!  I thought about this for some time before I chose these ladies.  I highly admire each one.  I hope you have the time to check them out.  Enjoy!...

    Tammy at Down Home
not only keeps a relaxing and

Happy 4th!, new pics of Josiah!!...

Happy America's Birthday everyone
!  I've been in bed since Friday with a stomach bug.  It started with a fever and turned into stomach distress.  When I get sick it tends to want to linger way too long.  My immune system hasn't been very good since I got the salmonella poisoning from the peanut butter over the holidays.  Did I ever tell you all about that?  I didn't figure it out until four months after the fact.  I don't buy Peter Pan Peanut Butter but my next door neighbor does.  He made  peanut butter fudge and gave me five big pieces.  Being the pig that I am... LOL... I ate all of them within 24 hours.  I was really sick for three months and mildly sick a couple more.  He came to me about four months later and said, "I got rid of a jar of the contaminated peanut butter with the bad bar code, but I did use one jar in a batch of fudge I made."  ACK!  I asked him if it was back in November.  Sure enough I started getting sick a couple days after I ate it.  No one else got very sick because he took it to a dinner and no one else ate five huge pieces like I did.

On to a nicer subject, I have new photos of Josiah!  I haven't been able to upload photos since he was about three months old.  He just turned ten months old in these pictures.  Josiah is saying a few words here and there.  He is crawling, but is not trying to walk yet.  He has a great sense of humor and makes me laugh and smile all the time.  He also gets mad very easily, but it doesn't last long, thank goodness.  So, for your viewing pleasure, here is the little guy.  I hope you enjoy them.  He is such a ham.  Happy 4th, again, and please stay safe.  Oh, and just to remind you, the Photo Hunt is due on Sunday and the subject is "Independence Day and freedom".  Hope you can play!  Hugs! xox
