Halloween..

Tomorrow is Halloween.  As a Christian, I do not celebrate nor believe in the holiday.  I received this from a friend and felt so warm-hearted by it, though, and am touching on Halloween by putting it in.  Thanks, Cathy, for always making me feel special!

My sister, Mary Jo, sent this to me, Val ... thought you'd like it, too : )

It reminded me of your AOL journal/web-site ... and how your own light clearly shines through for all to enjoy : )

Love & Light ~

  Subject: Pumpkins
A woman was asked by a coworker, "What is it like to be a Christian?" The coworker replied, "It is like being a pumpkin.
God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then he cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, and then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."

This was passed on to me from another pumpkin.
Happy Holloween!

  1. Amen! I hate Halloween and I find it a horrible holiday. Thanks! Someone agrees with me.

I've read that pumkin explanation before. It's very sweet.

  6. As a child we always celebrated Halloween by a cute pumpkin face and dressing up and going and knocking on doors and getting candy.  Then someone had to make something evil out of it.  We still take PreTeen out to get her candy from family and close neighbors.  I don't want evil people to rob her of the candy event.   It just angers me that the evil folks have ruined it for the kids now.
