new update on tomatoes:

  1. Thanks, Val.  If it is a tomato, I am just not eating it at this time.  I went out to dinner a few nights ago, and tomatoes were missing from the plate.  We were like "huh?" and then we realized why.  How do you know what state the tomatoes came from?  They could be imported.  I don't think I will have any for awhile.  Roma or no.

  3. I'm sure there will be more home grown tomatoes in buckets, or any other containers now. I was actually thinking of trying the "upside down containers" as we have lots of squirrels and other city critters who get at ones in the ground but then again I'm sure if they want to they can get at ones hanging too. lol  I'm not much into veggie gardens and I should be at with the prices and now this problem.Maybe I'll just buy the vine tomatoes as they are tasty but pricy. Can't have it all I guess.

  5. Thankfully the tomatoes on the vine are not affected by this warning.  I was in the grocery store today and they were the only ones available.  Linda in WA
