Black and White photo shoot...

This week's subject for Krissy's photo shoot is "Black and White".  I have three photos for you today.  One is in my signature tag.  All of these flowers were full of color, very vibrant color.  I like them in black and white as well.  They have a different "feel" to them.  I hope you like them!  If you would like to play, visit Krissy at Sometimes I Think
.  She has a new subject each week.

Hope you are having a good week and I hope you stop by again!

  8. Very nice!  Sometimes the best black and white pictures come from subjects that are normally very colorful.  Guess it is because it forces the eye to study it trying to find the color, and then getting lost in the tonality of the image, and enjoying it based on something completely new.

  13. I think I especially like the rose, it seems to bring out detail with it in black and white.  You made good choices. :-)

  17. They're beautiful Val :o)
I posted a picture of a flower too.  Thought that would be interesting as they are usually so bright and colourful, yet they still look just as beautiful in black and white somehow don't they.

  18. Oh, how pretty!  I like the first one best.  One, because I just love daisies, they are such "happy" flowers.  Two, because of the contrast of the black background and the white of the petals.  The petals look so soft...I can almost feel the silkiness of them on my fingers.

    Great job!

  19. I like the first picture best Val!  Very nice.  I think black and white adds depth (interpret that how you will) in photos and years ago, it was all I ever shot.  (nice to meet you too)

  24. Val, These pictures really capture black and white.  I am impressed by how they turned out.  The last picture of the rose with the shadow against the wall is quite different.  You did good.
