Monday Morning Question!...
Do you intend to shop on Black Friday?
my answer: I would rather be hit over the head a hundred times with a hammer. No, I would rather jump off a bridge. No, I would rather be eaten by a pack of wolves (or eat the pack of wolves...), well, you get the picture. I HATE shopping as it is, and to fight clawing, fighting people for merchandise seem ludicrous. I don't care if it is lower-priced. It will be lower-priced the next day, too. How about you ? If you do this as an entry in your journal, please come back and leave your entire entry URL so we all can read! Thanks!
No. Thankfully, I don't need anything that badly. Mean, nasty people with long, black claws & bright, green teeth roam the earth on that day. I try to stay inside with the blinds drawn.
ReplyDeleteHere's my answer. WOW I finally got to play along again. It's been forever seems like.

Take care, Chrissie
I am suppose to answer in my journal, right?
ReplyDeleteOkay.
Great sale at the fabric store on Friday - same sale Saturday, mas o menos. I will stay home Friday and eat turkey instead.
ReplyDeleteI would rather scoop my eyes out with a spoon THAN shop on Black Friday. I plan on doing a lot of my shopping online. (Guess I better get busy. LOL ) Hugs.

We open at 5am... I have to be there at 4:45am, do you think I will be able to get in.... Our morning specials last until 11am. I have all the shoes ready in the stockroom. My manager and a team of four will stay til 11pm on Wednesday getting them all set up on tables. How long do you think they will remain on the tables on Friday morning, lol.... I plan on standing on the edge of the department directing and bringing out more shoes to sell to the masses. I work my butte off all year, on Friday I plan to just sit back and enjoy the show and laugh at these crazy people eager for a good deal... lol... But I'm sure I will find myself running around like a crazy person trying to assist everyone at once...
ReplyDeleteHave a great Thanksgiving!
Linda :)
I won't be anywhere near a store on Black Friday!! My daughter usually goes with our friends though....they are out there bright and early!
ReplyDeleteIf I do it will be on the Internet! When I worked in retail I dreaded that day so much! It's nuts! ;-) Sassy
ReplyDeleteI hate shopping too Val, I've never been to the sales they have after Christmas. I always keep away till the rush is gone... some time in March! Jeannette xx http://beta.journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
ReplyDeleteI too hate shopping but more than I hate shopping I hate crowds. So no I won't couldn't pay me enough to.\
ReplyDeleteBarbara
No, I'm already done Christmas shopping. I would never shop on that day. It's hell out there.
ReplyDeleteAngela

you know dad and mom were not gifty as we grew up so in their tradition I dont give that many gifts for christmas, its kinda sad lol but I wont be shopping no way in stores that day but might check for hot deals online for fun stuff. I think many online stores offer the same sort of discounts starting that day so I might shop online a bit... :)
ReplyDeletehappy monday sweetie! love Deirdre
I'm with you! I'd rather pay full price and have a tooth pulled while I'm waiting in line to pay than to push through the crowds and deal with the throngs of eager, ill mannered shoppers. I get panic stricken just thinking about it. LOL
ReplyDeleteHugs, Kathy
I will send my butler to do my shopping while I jet to the Barbados to do some yachting. lol mark
ReplyDeleteI'd rather be in the Ron Popeil infomercial audience (8 hours long!) then go shopping on Black Friday! No, I am NOT going shopping on Black Friday! Perish the thought!

Your answer says it perfectly. I HATE BLACK FRIDAY!!! It's Commercial Christmas at its finest, and MY Christmas season doesn't start until December 3rd.
