How I'm doing, pet food recall update...

Hello everyone!  I know I haven't done a decent journal entry in quite some time.  I have been fatigued and having problems with sleep and it has been hard for me to put my thoughts together - to come up with anything coherent.  It is a curse of having fibromyalgia.  I would like to tell you how I am doing (well, but tired) and how Josiah is doing (he is growing, crawling, and saying a few words!), but I am having problems as I said.  I promise an entry with substance as soon as I am able, hopefully soon!  I also promise a "Wordplay" soon, too!  I received the information below in an email from the ASPCA and thought it would be important to pass on to you.  For those of you who have a cat or dog, I know you are following these updates closely.  They are recalling some dry foods, chews and even a protein supplement.  Take care and pet your furry ones!  Pats and hugs from my Baby and Honey!

Updated pet food recalls...

Happy Resurrection Day!

Then the angel spoke to the women.  "Don't be afraid!" he said.  "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.  He isn't here!  He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen.  Come, see where his body was lying."  -Matthew 28:5-6 NLT

My little family wishes you and yours the most blessed and peaceful of all Resurrection Days!!  May you all have time to reflect on what Jesus did for you on this day.  God bless you all!!  Love, Val xox

For pet owners...

I sent out an email to my family and friends concerning the pet food recall.  I thought this was so important that I am going to post a list.  I have heard that over 3,000 pets have died from this tragedy.  If you are one of these pet owners, I am so, so sorry.   I found this list at the ASPCA website.  I know that tainted wheat gluten is the culprit.  Melamine was found in it.   Until this crisis is over, buy your pet wet or dry food and treats without wheat gluten, although it is not always wise to change a pets diet.  Check with your vet if you have questions.  The following sites have lists of the affected foods and recalls.   Please pet your dogs and cats for me!

      - Menu Foods (several foods listed)
     - Del Monte Pet Products (several foods listed)
     - Purina (ALPO® Prime Cuts in Gravy only)
     - Hill's Pet Nutrition, Inc. (Prescription Diet™ m/d™ Feline Dry
                                                         Food Only

I wanted this week to be a special Hunt.  Krissy and John are very busy this week.  They won't be able to get out and see the sunshine.  They are cooped up most of the week.  Can we give them a lot of Spring pictures?!!  I am going to link up this week's Hunt to The Gazette so they will be able to see all of the entries.  They love the Spring!  I hope you all enjoy the sunshine, fresh air and flowers while you are taking your pictures!! xox
