And The Winner Is..

It is almost the end of a weekend again and I have gotten very little done.  Almost nothing.  I have been getting extremely frustrated by my lack of motivation and my fatigue.  I have been wondering what the cause of it is??  Is it my illnesses or the chill in the air?  My brain seems to be wandering more than usual and it is "shutting off" alot.  I spent the morning looking for something that I hid on myself and found in my purse.  I seem to do that alot.  Lost hours searching for stupid things.  I am forgetting alot, too.  I am even forgetting conversations I have had with people.  Scary.  Excuse me while I laugh...Baby just came to me with a huge stuffed animal in his mouth and dropped it on my feet!  He wants to play fetch.  He looks hilarious walking around with something that is bigger than he is in his mouth!! LOL  Where was I?  Oh, my brain...I am doing very few entries with substance because I can't THINK of anything to write.  Well, I can, but I can't piece them together.  I can think of a thought here and a sentence there, but they don't make an entry...a whole entry.  I HATE it!!!!  I hope this gets better soon!

I wanted to congratulate Smiley Sims-playing
Sara for being the first correct guesser on this week's installment of "Up Close With Val"!!!  Yes, it was a potato!!  Quite a few of you guessed it correctly!!  Quite a few of you also thought it was a turkey!  I guess we all have Thanksgiving on the brain!  Here is your blue ribbon, Sara!:

Now, I am off to go clean house...if I can find my brain...and my house...and the motivation.  Nah, a nap sounds better ;-)  xox

  1. I know the feeling.  Sometimes I get overwhelmed and don't do anything and then it all gets worse.  I guess all we can do is just keep plugging along to the best of our ability.

  3. Ah the simple pleasures of life...my kitten Marta is doing some very strange things lately.  Sometimes I wonder just what is going though her mind.  They always make me laugh especially when I'm stressing over school.  Cheers, Kellen

  6. Oh Dear!
Your entry sounds like I wrote it.  I have that same exact feeling.  Overwhelming fatigue and lack of motivation.  Throw in more pain than I can control with my meds.  You know something is wrong when I show no enthusiasm when shopping for new living room furniture.  Good thing there were couches there otherwise I would have passed out.  Now I am completely shot.  And, will be for who knows how long?
    Gentle hugs to you, LuAnne

  7. I thought it WAS a potato, I wonder if you are right about turkey being on peoples mind because of Thanksgiving.  Most of us that guessed `potato` are English, and as you know we don`t celebrate it!  :-)

  10. It must be something in the air, Val.  I fell asleep after church with my computer on my chest!  Can't come up with the energy to do much of anything.  Blessings, my friend.  Love, Penny http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere

  11. Val, I know how you feel.   When my health is bothering me, I can't think of anything else.   It's just plain and simple.   The weather changed and my back went into pain and all I could do was use the moist heat pad to get through the day.  Today the weather has turned cold and I am just stiff and sore.   I read a devotional this morning that said God has a purpose for us.  It talked about nothing happening by luck or chance, but by devine will.   You have encouraged me so much that I can accomplish my tasks.   You show me your concern and I want you to know the importance of my relationship to you.  Sometimes I want to give up trying, and then somehow I get the strenght to go on.  My nephew was in a bad wreck on the Interstate last week after being hit head on by a car that lost control.  He was in the passing lane headed north and before the impact turned to the left, so that the impact went down the passenger side of the car.  He is at home from the hospital, and I ask for your prayers for him to recover.   My neice believes that devine power saved him during the split second before impact.  I am so thankful that he survived.   You are a blessing to me Val,   mark
